The Family Place Foundation

Established in 2020, The Family Place Foundation improves the lives of adopted, fostered and kinship children and their families. This is done through tailored therapeutic support designed to promote psychological, physical and emotional wellbeing as well as build skills and confidence.  The Family Place Foundation delivers a variety of projects which include activity days and therapeutic respite camps for families, online workshops on a range of topics and specialist consultations.  The charity is based in Clyro, Herefordshire, and works with families both within the local community and across England and Wales.

At the February 2024 Trustee meeting, a grant of £4,608 was awarded – this is in two instalments, £2,304 per annum.  The funding is contributing towards the charity’s core costs. Outcomes of the work over the coming period are to engage with more young people; and to reduce the anxiety and difficulties of young people.
