With the impact of the Covid pandemic, Trustees expressed concern about the level of need they were seeing across all of the Foundation’s main funding programmes.
With significant and increasing demand for funding from organisations and groups, a decision was taken to pause the Social Cohesion Programme after the June 2021 funding round.
This will allow funding to be focused on meeting the needs of organisations supporting some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in communities, which have been exasperated by the Covid pandemic.
This pause will also give the Trustees time to reflect and learn from those grants it has already awarded under this Programme and where necessary to make possible changes to best achieve the ambitions they have for this Programme.
